Polyferric sulfate (PFS) is a high-performance inorganic polymeric coagulant. It appears as a light yellow, amorphous powdered solid and is highly soluble in water.PFS exhibits strong coagulation capability. Upon hydrolysis, it generates abundant polynuclear complexes and charged ions that rapidly adsorb impurities in water, forming large, dense flocs with fast settling rates. It is effective over a broad pH range of 4 to 11. PFS demonstrates excellent performance in treating high-turbidity water as well as low-temperature, low-turbidity water, effectively removing suspended solids, organic matter, heavy metal ions, and other contaminants. It is widely used in the treatment of drinking water, industrial process water, and wastewater.
Product Introduction:
Polyferric sulfate (PFS) is a novel, highly efficient inorganic polymeric coagulant and also an effective water purifying agent. It is available in both liquid and solid forms: the liquid form is a transparent reddish-brown solution, while the solid form appears as a light yellow, amorphous powder with strong hygroscopic properties. It is non-toxic, odorless, and slightly corrosive. PFS dissolves readily in water, and its 10% (by weight) aqueous solution is a transparent reddish-brown liquid.
Product Advantages:
Excellent flocculation performance: It exhibits superior coagulation efficiency, forming dense flocs that settle rapidly—complete sedimentation typically occurs within 5 to 30 minutes, and even faster with auxiliary settling facilities. The resulting sludge is compact with good filterability, reducing the burden of sludge treatment and outperforming aluminum-based coagulants.
Wide applicability: It operates effectively over a broad pH range of 4 to 11, with an optimal pH range of 6 to 9. The treated water exhibits minimal changes in pH and total alkalinity, resulting in low corrosivity toward treatment equipment.
Superior water purification performance: It offers multiple effective functions, including significant decolorization, deodorization, dewatering, oil removal, disinfection, and removal of heavy metal ions, radioactive substances, and carcinogens from water. It achieves removal efficiencies exceeding 90% for COD, BOD, and color. Compared to conventional coagulants, it demonstrates higher removal rates for suspended solids, COD, and BOD. Moreover, its removal efficiency for sulfides, metal ions, and radioactive elements in wastewater far surpasses that of aluminum-based coagulants. It is particularly effective in treating slightly polluted water, algal-laden water, and low-temperature, low-turbidity water, and delivers exceptional performance in purifying high-turbidity water.
Stable properties: The product is non-toxic and exhibits excellent stability after dilution, allowing it to mix rapidly and completely with water in any proportion. It can be stored for extended periods without sedimentation, degradation, or risk of clogging pipelines.
Environmentally friendly and safe: It contains no harmful substances such as aluminum, chloride, or heavy metal ions, and does not cause aqueous-phase transfer of iron ions, making it safe and reliable.
Lower cost: It requires a low dosage, resulting in low operational costs and savings of 20% to 50% in treatment expenses.
