Total Nitrogen Remover is a specialized chemical agent designed to reduce total nitrogen levels in wastewater, featuring distinct advantages:
Highly efficient denitrification: It rapidly converts nitrogenous compounds in wastewater into harmless nitrogen gas, which is released into the atmosphere, significantly lowering total nitrogen concentrations.
Broad applicability: Effective across a wide range of industrial wastewaters—including municipal, food processing, slaughterhouse, metal surface treatment, and electroplating—and performs well at varying total nitrogen concentrations.
Fast reaction: Achieves denitrification within a short time frame, greatly enhancing treatment efficiency.
Easy to use: Can be directly dosed into the system with simple operation and no complex setup required.
Safe and environmentally friendly: Generates no secondary pollution and produces minimal sludge during treatment, thereby reducing downstream sludge handling costs.
This product provides a reliable solution for ensuring wastewater meets stringent total nitrogen discharge standards.
Product Introduction:
Total Nitrogen Remover is a chemical or biological agent specifically formulated to eliminate total nitrogen from wastewater. Total nitrogen in wastewater primarily consists of ammonia nitrogen, organic nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, and nitrite nitrogen.
Some Total Nitrogen Removers appear as colorless, transparent liquids or brownish liquids, with active ingredients including carbon sources, bioenzymes, minerals, and nutrients. Other formulations present as dark brown or black, viscous liquids with a mild aromatic odor.
Additionally, certain Total Nitrogen Removers are composed of specialized denitrifying microorganisms, such as ammonification bacteria, nitrosifying bacteria, nitrifying bacteria, and denitrifying bacteria. These microbial agents are dosed into corresponding biochemical treatment units—such as ammonification tanks, nitrification tanks, and denitrification tanks—to facilitate their respective reaction stages.
There are also Total Nitrogen Removers formulated from solutions of specific carbon sources, including glucose, sodium acetate, or molasses, at defined concentrations, which serve as electron donors to support the biological denitrification process.
Product Advantages:
Different types of total nitrogen removers offer distinct advantages:
Chemical agents (e.g., ammonia nitrogen removers that can also be used for total nitrogen removal): These agents feature rapid reaction speeds, completing the reaction process within approximately 5 minutes. They demonstrate high removal efficiency, achieving over 96% ammonia nitrogen removal. These agents are easy to dose and use, and they offer auxiliary functions such as color removal and COD reduction. With a mildly acidic nature, they can adjust pH values, saving costs on acid supplementation. As environmentally friendly chemical agents, they involve a simple process, low costs, rapid removal, and no secondary pollution.
Ion Exchange Resin Type: For instance, Tulsimer® A - 62MP nitrate-removing resin offers high treatment precision, capable of reducing total nitrogen content in various wastewaters to as low as 1 ppm, consistently meeting Surface Water Class III standards. It boasts a large adsorption capacity, with a saturated adsorption capacity for nitrate (expressed as N) exceeding 10 g/L. This resin prioritizes the exchange of nitrate ions, and its exchange capacity for nitrate remains unaffected by the sulfate content in the water. As a food-grade material, it can be employed for the deep removal of nitrate nitrogen from drinking water, groundwater, mineral water, and other sources. It excels in the advanced treatment of low-concentration wastewater, addressing the challenges associated with such wastewater treatment. Additionally, it is available in modular components, featuring a high degree of automation and simple operation.
Biological Bacterial Agent Type: Through specific acclimation and cultivation under varying conditions, denitrifying bacteria exhibit excellent environmental adaptability. They are capable of carrying out denitrification in the majority of wastewater types, achieving more sustained and extensive denitrification across different environments. This makes them particularly well-suited for the treatment of industrial wastewater.
