Product Introduction:

An oily wastewater demulsifier is a surfactant capable of breaking emulsions. It disrupts the stable electrical double layer and the emulsion-stabilizing system, causing the dispersed phase to coalesce and separate from the emulsion, thereby achieving separation of the oil and water phases. Common demulsifiers for oily emulsified wastewater are formulated blends of organic polymers. These demulsifiers penetrate and adsorb onto the interface of emulsified droplets, displacing the original emulsifiers, rupturing the interfacial film, and releasing and aggregating the droplets previously trapped within the film, ultimately facilitating phase separation between oil and water.

The oily wastewater demulsifier is non-toxic, odorless, and free from irritating smells. It appears as a light yellow powder or light yellow liquid. It rapidly reacts with oil or oily substances in the mixture, causing phase separation: the upper layer consists of recoverable oil or oily material, facilitating easy separation and recovery of oils. The demulsifier is miscible with water in any proportion.

It is suitable for deoiling highly emulsified effluents from oil refineries and produced water from oilfields, as well as for demulsifying emulsified cutting fluids and other oily wastewaters generated in mechanical processing, hardware manufacturing, and similar industrial operations.

Excellent demulsification performance: It effectively reduces the interfacial tension of water-in-oil (W/O) or oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions, causing colloidal particles in wastewater to lose their stable repulsive and attractive forces. This destabilization leads to the formation of flocs, enabling oil-water separation and removal of harmful impurities through chemical bridging, thereby purifying the wastewater.

Easy to use: It is miscible with water in any proportion. After adding the demulsifier, stir for 2 minutes (typical dosage: 100–200 g per ton of wastewater). Oil or oily substances will begin to separate within 20–40 minutes after stirring.

Oil and gas industry: Suitable for dehydration and demulsification of crude oil in oilfields. It improves the interfacial properties of crude oil and reduces the strength of the interfacial film. It can also be used for desalting crude oil and removing impurities, as well as for separating free water from high-water-content crude oil and treating oily wastewater from refineries or other industrial sources.

Machining industry: It can be used to treat oily wastewater generated during machining processes—such as wastewater from machine tools, cleaning agents, and other chemicals used in processing—by demulsifying the effluent and removing contaminants including oil, metal ions, and suspended solids.

Hardware manufacturing industry: Used to treat oily wastewater generated during hardware processing, including waste from grinding and cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, emulsion coolant, and cutting fluid.

Other industries: It can also be used to treat oily wastewater generated from industries such as ink, paint, electroplating, chemical manufacturing, and high-salinity processes.
