Anodizing is a common metal surface treatment process, primarily applied to aluminum and its alloys, which forms a protective oxide layer on the metal surface to enhance surface properties and gloss. However, this process generates substantial volumes of wastewater—including pre-treatment wastewater, phosphorus-containing rinse water, nickel-containing rinse water, and others—contaminated with metal ions, organic compounds, acids and alkalis, phosphates, oils, and greases. Such wastewater is typically highly colored and heavily polluted.

The anodizing wastewater decolorizing agent removes pollutants and achieves decolorization by chemically reacting with contaminants in the wastewater, breaking emulsions, transforming and decomposing the pollutants, and then flocculating them into water-insoluble solid sludge. Its main components include oxidizing agents, reducing agents, and specialized surfactants. These ingredients work synergistically to rapidly degrade color-causing substances while effectively removing heavy metal ions and organic pollutants, thereby enhancing the biodegradability of the wastewater.

During application, the agent is typically diluted with 10 to 40 times its volume in water and then directly added to the wastewater. After stirring for several minutes, the mixture undergoes sedimentation or dissolved air flotation (DAF), yielding a clear, decolorized effluent.
