Dyeing and printing wastewater decolorizing agent

Dyeing and printing wastewater decolorizing agent is a specialized chemical formulated specifically for treating dyeing and printing wastewater, offering significant advantages.

It exhibits strong decolorization capacity, rapidly reacting with a wide range of dyes to efficiently remove color from wastewater, quickly clarifying deeply colored effluent.

Its exceptional flocculation performance promotes the aggregation of fine suspended particles and colloids in the wastewater into larger flocs, facilitating easy separation via sedimentation or dissolved air flotation (DAF).

The agent has broad applicability and demonstrates excellent treatment efficacy across various types of dyeing wastewater, including those containing reactive, acid, and disperse dyes.

Chemically stable, it maintains high activity over a wide pH range and under varying temperature conditions.

Moreover, it requires low dosage and offers cost-effective treatment—effectively decolorizing wastewater while simultaneously reducing other pollutants such as COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand).

Product Details

Product Introduction:

Dyeing and printing wastewater decolorizing agent is a chemical specifically designed to remove dye components from dyeing and printing wastewater. Its mechanism typically involves chemical reactions or physical adsorption, which either break down dye molecules or convert them into insoluble precipitates, thereby achieving decolorization. Common types include activated carbon, polyaluminum chloride (PAC), zinc chloride, and oxidizing agents.

Among these, the dyeing wastewater decolorizing agent is synthesized through the condensation polymerization of formaldehyde-dicyandiamide resin with specific catalysts, resulting in a cationic organic polymeric compound that integrates multiple functions—decolorization, flocculation, and COD reduction—into one.

This agent utilizes its uniquely high-density cationic charge groups to bind with the anionic groups of color-causing substances in the wastewater, forming hydrophobic, insoluble salts that precipitate out of the water. Additionally, the various active functional groups along its polymer chains can chemically react with anionic groups in dye molecules—such as sulfonic acid (–SO₃⁻) and carboxylic acid (–COO⁻) groups—to produce water-insoluble compounds that are subsequently removed from the wastewater, thereby effectively eliminating color.

Product Advantages:

Different types of decolorizing agents for dyeing and printing wastewater offer distinct advantages:

Activated Carbon:

It exhibits strong adsorption capacity and effectively adsorbs a wide range of dyes, efficiently removing harmful substances from industrial wastewater. It demonstrates particularly high removal efficiency for various dye molecules, especially large-molecular-weight dyes. Under certain conditions, it can also directly adsorb certain heavy metal ions. Its operation is straightforward—decolorization using activated carbon is relatively simple and does not require complex equipment or intricate procedures.

Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC):

It is cost-effective—compared to other decolorizing agents, it has lower raw material and production costs and is readily available, making it suitable for large-scale applications. It also offers excellent versatility, delivering significant decolorization performance across a wide range of dyes, including cationic, anionic, and non-ionic dyes.

Zinc Chloride:

It offers rapid decolorization with an extremely short reaction time, making it well-suited for treating high-concentration dye wastewater and delivering quick results. Its performance is highly effective, achieving good removal rates for a variety of dyes, particularly in wastewater with high dye concentrations.

Oxidizing Agents:

They effectively break down dye molecules, achieving excellent decolorization performance and are suitable for most dyeing and printing wastewater.

Decolorizing Agents for Dyeing Wastewater:

These agents integrate multiple functions—decolorization, flocculation, and COD degradation—into a single treatment solution. They are particularly effective for treating high-concentration, highly colored wastewater generated from dye and dye intermediate production processes, especially wastewater from textile dyeing operations using reactive, acid, direct, and disperse dyes. They significantly enhance both decolorization efficiency and COD removal rates in wastewater treatment.

Service Industries:

Decolorizing agents for textile dyeing wastewater primarily serve industries such as dyeing, textile printing and dyeing, and bleaching. During textile dyeing and finishing processes—including dyeing, printing, and post-treatment—large volumes of wastewater containing various chemicals and dyes are generated. The application of decolorizing agents effectively treats this wastewater by removing color, enabling it to meet environmental discharge standards and preventing pollution to the environment.
