Heavy metal chelating agent

Lason-915 heavy metal chelating agent is a high molecular polymer that strongly chelates with heavy metal ions. It can chemically react with various heavy metal ions such as Cu, Cd, Hg, Pb, Mn, Ni, Zn, and Cr in wastewater under normal temperature and a wide range of pH conditions. In a short time, it rapidly forms chelates with these metal ions, which then precipitate with the help of polyaluminum or alkaline aluminum, effectively capturing and removing the heavy metals. The treatment process is simple, requiring direct addition to remove heavy metal ions. Lason-915 heavy metal chelating agent can effectively precipitate heavy metal ions, reducing the concentration of metal ions in wastewater. Using Lason-915 heavy metal chelating agent fully meets the discharge standards in Table 3 of GB21900-2008. Common heavy metal pollutants include mercury (Hg), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), manganese (Mn), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn), and others. As heavy metals are usually irreplaceable during industrial processing, their concentration often exceeds limits in wastewater. Due to their toxicity, they cannot naturally decompose after being discharged, which is why their levels in wastewater and exhaust gases are strictly regulated by national standards.

Selectivity: Hg²⁺ > Ag²⁺ > Cu²⁺ > Pb²⁺ > Cd²⁺ > Zn²⁺ > Ni²⁺ > Co²⁺ > Cr³⁺ > Fe²⁺ > Mn²⁺

Product Details

Product Introduction

Heavy metal scavengers are chemical agents capable of forming stable chelates or precipitates with heavy metal ions in wastewater. These reagents typically contain specific functional groups that exhibit strong chelating and adsorptive capacities, effectively removing heavy metals from water. When added to wastewater, the functional groups in their molecules bind with heavy metal ions.

undergo complexation reactions to form stable complexes. These complexes typically have low solubility, making them easy to separate from wastewater through methods such as precipitation or filtration. Additionally, certain heavy metal scavengers can promote polymerization reactions among heavy metal ions, forming larger particulate precipitates that enhance removal efficiency.

Product Advantages

A heavy metal chelating agent is a chemical substance that can form stable chelates or precipitates with heavy metal ions in wastewater. These agents typically contain specific functional groups with strong chelating and adsorption abilities, effectively removing heavy metals from water. When added to wastewater, the functional groups in its molecules react with the heavy metal ions.

Wide applicability: It is suitable for use in a pH range of 2 to 14 and can treat various heavy metals in comprehensive wastewater.

Strong chelating ability: The microscopic molecules are designed for improved performance, effectively capturing heavy metal ions such as copper, zinc, and nickel. It can reduce copper ions to 0.3 mg/L, zinc ions to 1 mg/L, and nickel ions to 0.1 mg/L, meeting the national discharge standards in Table 3.

Diverse types: There are various types, including sulfide-based, polymer chelating agents, nanomaterials, and bio-adsorbents. Different types of chelating agents can target wastewater with different properties. For example, sulfide-based agents have fast reaction speeds, good precipitation effects, and low treatment costs; polymer chelating agents have high selectivity, fast reaction speeds, and good treatment effects, making them suitable for wastewater containing multiple heavy metal ions; nanomaterials and bio-adsorbents are efficient, environmentally friendly, and renewable.

Service Industries

Electroplating industry: The production process in the electroplating industry generates large amounts of wastewater containing heavy metals. By adding heavy metal chelating agents, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium, lead, and other heavy metal ions can be effectively removed from the wastewater, reducing its toxicity and ensuring the wastewater meets discharge standards.

Mining industry: Wastewater generated during mining operations often contains high concentrations of heavy metals. Using heavy metal chelating agents for pretreatment can effectively reduce the burden on subsequent treatment processes and improve the overall wastewater treatment efficiency.

Metallurgical industry: Wastewater in the metallurgical industry contains a large amount of heavy metals. Using heavy metal chelating agents for deep treatment can ensure that the wastewater meets environmental protection requirements before being reused or discharged.

Electronics industry: The production process in the electronics industry generates large amounts of wastewater containing heavy metal ions. Using heavy metal chelating agents can significantly reduce the heavy metal content in the wastewater, improving the quality and safety of electronic products.

Dyeing industry: Heavy metal ions such as chromium and cadmium in dyeing wastewater can be effectively removed through the use of chelating agents, ensuring that dyeing products meet environmental protection standards.

Chemical industry: Wastewater in the chemical industry often contains various heavy metal elements. Heavy metal chelating agents can form stable precipitates, effectively separating heavy metal ions.

Mining tailings treatment industry: It can remove heavy metals from tailings wastewater, reducing the risk of environmental pollution.
