Ammonia-oxidizing bacterial strains are microbial-based products and are highly effective solutions for wastewater treatment and bioremediation. They primarily include the following types:

Ammonia-degrading bacteria: This is a multi-species microbial consortium comprising both decomposing and synthesizing bacteria, including anaerobic, facultative, and aerobic strains. It is a mixed bacterial inoculant composed primarily of nitrifying strains from the genera Nitrosomonas (ammonia-oxidizing bacteria) and Nitrobacter (nitrite-oxidizing bacteria). Available in either solid or liquid form, it directly utilizes ammonia nitrogen present in wastewater as a nutrient source and is specifically designed to address elevated levels of ammonia nitrogen and nitrite in wastewater.

A composite facultative bacterial strain primarily composed of Bacillus subtilis: This is an optimal solution for treating river water with excessive ammonia nitrogen. The facultative bacteria in this formulation can grow and proliferate under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions.

Low-temperature resistant ammonia nitrogen bacteria: These bacteria use organic matter as a substrate (organic nitrogen as a carbon source) and can simultaneously carry out nitrification and denitrification to remove nitrogen. They are suitable for the removal of organic wastewater containing ammonia nitrogen, nitrate and nitrite, with an effective viable count of >10 billion CFU/ml.
