This product is primarily formulated from non-metallic minerals, which undergo special processing followed by crushing, high-temperature heating, and cooling. The resulting reagent exhibits multiple mechanisms of action, including catalysis, chemical transformation, adsorption, bridging, coagulation, co-precipitation, enmeshment (sweep flocculation), ion displacement, and ion exchange. It offers significant advantages in efficiently removing heavy metal ions, raising pH, and reducing COD, color, suspended solids, and overall treatment costs.

The widespread use of phosphorus-containing chemicals in processes such as anodizing, chemical polishing and cleaning, pre-treatment for painting, phosphating, electroplating, and electroless plating commonly leads to excessive phosphorus levels in wastewater. Depending on the wastewater characteristics—including the chemical forms of phosphorus present and its concentration—different phosphorus removal agents and treatment processes should be employed.

This phosphorus removal agent has been specifically developed for treating high-phosphorus wastewater generated from anodizing, chemical polishing and cleaning, pre-painting treatment, phosphating, electroplating, and electroless plating operations. Phosphorus removal agents are high-valence polymeric compounds specifically designed as chemical reagents to eliminate phosphorus from water. Their primary components typically include aluminum salts, iron salts, calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum sulfate, polyferric sulfate, and polyacrylamide. Some formulations may also contain potassium permanganate, ferrous sulfate, ferric chloride, manganese sulfate, polyaluminum chloride, sodium hypochlorite, sodium silicate, and activated alumina.

These components remove phosphorus from wastewater through various chemical reaction mechanisms. For instance, aluminum and iron salts react with phosphate ions in water to form insoluble precipitates such as aluminum phosphate or iron phosphate. Inorganic compounds like calcium carbonate and aluminum hydroxide remove phosphorus primarily via adsorption and precipitation. Organic polymeric substances, such as polyacrylamide, also contribute to phosphorus removal through adsorption and co-precipitation mechanisms.

The product typically appears as a white or off-white powder, with an active ingredient content of ≥99% and a pH value of ≤1% (w/v solution). It is available in both liquid and solid forms and exhibits a broad effective pH range, performing particularly well under acidic conditions.(A
